King of the Mountain

                                                                                                                            Robert Wills, 1970?

She lives in a hollow tree, decorated with memories

I fly away and yonder, on the wings of an ancient condor king...

Of the mountain Oh, I'm the King....of the Mountain

She has her life around her, her forest friends surround her there

I watch from miles above her, wishing, wondering, can she love her king?

Of the mountain Oh, I'm the King....of the Mountain

She was a fool to go; tell her so; tell her so-oh-oh

I was a fool to never let her know; let her know, oh-oh-oh, now, now

She lives from day to day, listening and feeling out her way

She waves her long blond hair, and I soar away above the air

Of the mountain Oh, I'm the King....of the Mountain
